Posit 9B relocates a selection of video works by artists participating in the 9^th International İstanbul Biennial, as well as additional works by artists living and working in Turkey, to Birmingham, at an off-site venue organised by the Ikon gallery. The programme focuses on work that observes and relates urban identities and ideals by layering differing perceptions of İstanbul and other city realities. Shown together, these video works merge and melt a range of urban contexts to compose propositions for alternative integrated living structures.
Posit 9B has been organised within the Biennial's Positionings Programme and in collaboration with the Ikon Gallery in Birmingham, UK.
