KIOSK will bring to İstanbul a collection of more than 3,000 contemporary art publications from all over the world; a non-representational and informative selection of independent publishing projects, alternative artzines, and audio works on contemporary art, compiled by Christoph Keller with the help of many friends. KIOSK is a travelling archive, which is continually growing and changing and currently comprises approximately 200 publishers, periodicals, video and audio projects. The presentation attempts to provide an overview of the various models of multiplication and distribution of artistic ways of working and to discuss the diverse strategies, motivations and programmes of the participating publishing projects. Together with the books published by the Biennial, KIOSK will form a temporary, but unmatched culture and arts reference library in İstanbul.
